Abstract: The objectives of this research were: 1) To study the basic characteristics of coffee-growing farmers' personal, social, and economic aspects in the Ban Manee Phruk village, Ngop Subdistrict, Thung Chang District, Nan Province. 2) To analyze factors influencing the likelihood of registering Thai geographical indicators for coffee-growing farmers in the Ban Manee Phruk village, Ngop Subdistrict, Thung Chang District, Nan Province. And 3) To propose strategies to promote the registration of Thai geographical indicators for coffee-growing farmers in the Ban Manee Phruk village, Ngop Subdistrict, Thung Chang District, Nan Province. The study employs a sample group of 96 farmers. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews and group discussions with 5 key representatives and committee members of the coffee-growing farmers in the area. The data collection took place from May to July 2023. The statistical data and analysis include frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, multiple regression analysis, and content analysis. The study found that the majority of farmers were female 65.5 percent, with an average age of 40.10 years. Most of them had not received formal education 32.2 percent, and had an average experience in coffee cultivation of 5.76 years. The average attendance at agricultural workshops and training in the year 2022 was 1.99 times. The average household size was 46.90 percent, with the majority were not holding social positions (94.80 percent). Received information about coffee production through meetings or training sessions in the year 2022 an average of 1.61 times. Contacted with agricultural officers averaged 3.68 times per year. The coffee farms were generally less than or equal to 1 rai in size, with an average of 3.61 agricultural workers per household. The net income from coffee production in the year 2022 averaged 68,198 baht, and there were no coffee production debts in the year 2022 97.90 percent. The knowledge of Arabica coffee production according to the principles of the Department of Agriculture at a high level, with an average score of 12.20, and the possibility of registering Thai coffee products were found to be at a high level, with an average score of 1.32. In hypothesis testing, Discovered that there were a negative correlation between experience in coffee cultivation (P < 0.05), receiving information about coffee production (P < 0.05), and knowledge level of Arabica coffee production (P < 0.01). Extension guideline for the registration of Thai geographical indication of coffee growers, Manee Phruek village, Ngob sub-district, Thung Chang district, Nan province found that most farmers faced challenges in coffee production, such as The coffee borer infestations, lack of management in the fields, or inadequate coffee garden cleaning. Therefore, appropriate promotional guidelines for registering geographical indication indicators for coffee products were proposed, divided into three main areas: coffee production, marketing, and agricultural extension officer development. The target groups include farmers and agricultural extension officers.
