Abstract: The construction of prefabricated building spend long time to complete the construction drawings in 2D format of the precast work. Therefore, it has begun to apply the modeling system of building information in the form of 3D construction works of the precast system. These system will reduce the time of research writing precast work. The building information modeling was used to reduce the precast uptime from the original 2D CAD process to 3D process by using the Planbar design program to adjust the design process of inserting steel, lifting point position, position of the wall mounting parts. Period of time for precast concrete drawings, including on-site problems arising from precast drawings. Also, process improvements were evaluated afterwards by using a questionnaire from the production supervisor and on-site inspectors. The number of sample questionnaires is 20. It has been used to improve the process. Also, to compared with the original process that uses a 2D catalyst. The result of 3D process by using the Planbar design program is more times faster. And it gets more completedly details information.
