Abstract: Yuriko Saito is a thinker in the early twentieth century, who is one of the most participants in the development of everyday aesthetics – aesthetics inquiry of the broader world which includes all possibilities of aesthetics experience. Saito has direct criticism of Kant’s concept of the beautiful whether it leads to limited scope of aesthetic sense and reject Kant’s concept of the beautiful. It would be helpful to illustrate the difference between Kant and Saito by comparing their concepts. This would be helpful to understand the reason that Saito, one of the most participated in development of everyday aesthetics reject Kant’s conception of the beautiful. The writing structure would follow Kant’s sections, there are concepts of quality, quantity, and relation. Anyway, Kant’s concept of modality relates to Saito’s discussion of ethics. So, the concept of modality will not be included. Thus, this thesis is going to be the explication of Kant’s concept of the beautiful and Saito’s criticisms of Kant. And compare explications of Kant and Saito together
