Abstract: This study was considered the mixed method research with aims to investigate the performance of communication channels in Regional Health 1 and the relevant problems of such communication in Regional Health 1. The population in this study included of executives and committee of Regional Health 1 for the 2018 year through the purposive sampling. The instruments used in the quantitative research consisted of descriptive statistics e.g. frequency, percentage, average, and standard deviation. The instrument used in the qualitative research was the semi-structure form among five executives of Regional Health 1. Data analysis was classified and categorized by the main aspects along with data connections to find out the similarities and differences of the answers before they were finally concluded in each aspect. The quantitative study found that 1) 75.20 percent of the population were females, 37.60 percent aged between 51-60 years, 49.60 percent holding the degree higher than the bachelor degree, 27.20 percent positioned as the public health technical officer, 30.40 percent working in the Division of Health Service System Development, and 62.40 percent having the working periods with Regional Health 1 less than or equal to five years; 2) opinions on the organizational communication channels regarding the receipt of news and information within Regional Health 1 showing a moderate level (Mean 3.14 , S.D. = 1.12), the sending of news and information within Regional Health 1 showing a moderate level (Mean 3.15, S.D. = 1.18), and their satisfaction showing a moderate level (Mean 3.36, S.D. = 1.10); 3) the performance of communication channels within the organization regarding the understanding of received news and information showing a high level (Mean 3.55, S.D. = 1.04), the speed of sending-receiving news and information showing a moderate level (Mean 3.31, S.D. = 0.93), and convenience for sending-receiving news and information showing a high level (Mean 3.48, S.D. = 0.97). The mostly used communication channels were social media (Line Application, Facebook) whereas the communication channel mostly used for sending-receiving news and information quickly was through the telephone. These results were consistent with those of the qualitative research, indicating that most users prioritized the communication in terms of comfort, speed, and accurate understanding. The main communication channels used in the Regional Health were Line Application and telephone. It was accordingly agreed that these communication channels helped to achieve the work targets and minimize the mistakes. The most effective work performance was therefore obtained
