Abstract: This research aims to study the problems within the design processes of a construction. These problems are delays in working time, increased costs and use of human resources; additionally, the drawings are not standardized and this can cause significant damage in the overall construction. In order to reduce the number of errors that oceur, the author of this study has used the BIM building information model and has applied it alongside the process of design, drawing in 2D and 3D and then used the data results in order to form a virtual building to be printed in 3D. Afterwards, analysis of the comparing factors of the software's worthiness, break-even point, time and that the construction standards are met, will be performed through the evaluation of the 3D printed model. The research results showed that when applying the BIM information model, there was a reduction to the total time spent regarding the design and drawing process and also resulted in a more accurate model. Furthermore, it is possible to apply the 3D fabrication data from the Autodesk Revit software in order to create a 3D virtual building model for the printer which is more eflicient than the current method(s). With a 3D model, the entire construct can be disassembled to reveal the details of the building's usable space with accordance to the construction standards. Additionally, a 3D printed model allows for us to check for consistency and accuracy within the construct. This method also saves time and human resources regarding creating a physical representation of the construct and removes the need of cutting and fitting individual pieces together during the model's assembly.
