Abstract: Naoshima Bath’s artwork is a part of the Setouchi Art Triennale on Naoshima Island, Kagawa, Japan. It is a space that offers opportunities to meet a wide variety of people. Naoshima Bath serves as an art installation and a public bathhouse, where people can experience sharing space in the common area. The objective of this research was to study the relationship that has occurred within the locality through the art space "Naoshima Bath" between 2009 – 2019, A.D. Moreover, this research aimed to identify, analyze, and implement the lesson learned on relationship development and management in other local areas such as in Thailand. The results reveal that the Setouchi Art Triennale is influenced by the conditions of world history, international relations, and state policy. The use of public bathhouse space as an artwork allows locals and non-locals to interact within the space for different purposes. This independent study also analyzes the art exhibition in Naoshima Bath created by the artist's imagination. The exhibition presented the local way of life and used various kinds of materials, especially local ones. The study finds that the exhibition did not only provide sharing experiences of art for the people involved, but also created a diverse mental space for them as well. This diversity in this common space led to identity exchange of the individuals as well as built their relationship in the context of conflict and benefit in the social space
