Abstract: This study aimed to: 1) compare factors affecting organizational engagement among three generations of personnel of the Secretariat Office, the Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University, namely the Baby Boomers, the Generation X and the Generation Y; 2) compare the degree of organizational engagement among the aforementioned three generations of personnel of the Secretariat Office, the Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University. Participants included 242 personnel of the Secretariat Office, the Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University. Of the 242 samples, 87 were the Baby Boomers, 90 Generation X, and 65 Generation Y. Data analysis methods utilized were a) descriptive statistics, namely frequency distribution; percentage; mean and standard deviation; and b) inferential statistics in order to compare multiple variables, namely one-way ANOVA (Analysis of Covariance) and Paired-Samples T-Test by utilizing post-hoc tests of Fisher's least significant difference (LSD) at the statistical significance level of 0.05. The results of the study were as follows: 1) the level of opinions regarding factors affecting organizational engagement namely job characteristics, organizational structure, supervisors’ leadership, and work experiences among the three generations of personnel of the Secretariat office, the Faculty of Medicine Chiang Mai University, was relatively high. No difference was found among those three generations in the level of opinions on the factors affecting organizational engagement in terms of job characteristics and supervisors’ leadership, while there were differences in the level of opinions regarding organizational structure and work experiences as factors affecting organizational engagement. That is, the level of opinions among the baby boomers differed from that of the Generations X and Y respectively with statistical significance. 2) The overall degree of organizational engagement of all the three aforementioned generations was relatively high. Considering respective generations, the study found that the degree of organizational engagement among the three generation were differed among generations with statistical significance. That is, the degree of organizational engagement among the Baby Boomers was higher than that of the Generation X and Generation Y. Similarly, the degree of organizational engagement among the Generation X was higher than that of the Generation Y.
