Abstract: The purpose of this independent study was to use hand-on activity to promote concepts on circles of Prathomsuksa 6 students, Anubanchun School, Phayao Province. The participants were 31 students studying Prathomsuksa 6/1 at Anubanchun School during the second semester of the 2014 academic year. Learning activities focused on learning by doing so that the students would receive real experiences from the activities. The activities were also comprised of documentation or answering questions, presentation, discussion, and self-conceptualization. The research instruments consisted of eight learning activities using hand-on activities to promote concepts on circles, students’ journal writing and mathematics concepts test of 7 items. The researcher collected data through all the instructional plans, during teaching, the researcher recorded the development of students’ conceptualization. After teaching all plans, students’ conceptualization was examined by using the mathematics concepts of circle. The data were analyzed by using frequency, percentage and descriptive analysis. The research findingsrevealed that 26 students (83.87%) of all students had higher score of the mathematics concept on circle than 60 percent.
