Abstract: | This independent study aims to study Domestic Traveling Motivation After the COVID-19 Pandemic of Generation X in Chiang Mai Province. The data was collected by using the Questionnaires from 385 samples Thai Generation X Tourist Who was born between 1965-1980, Living in Chiang Mai and Travelled within last one year. A Questionnaire was analyzed by using Descriptive statistics such as Frequency , Percentage and Mean and Inferential statistics such as t-test (Independent-Sample t-test) for compare between Domestic Traveling Motivated of Push and Pull Factors and Concerns of COVID-19 pandemic by Gender and Age Groups. Then One-Way ANOVA for compare between Domestic Traveling Motivated of Push and Pull Factors and Concerns of COVID-19 pandemic by Monthly income. The results of an Independent study found that The most of the respondents were female aged between 43-50 years old, State enterprise officer and Government employees and earning monthly income more than 50,000 baht. Travel with families and took private car for traveling to destination province and inside province. Most of them went to Chiang Rai. They preferred natural sea attractions. Spend 1-2 nights traveling and didn't use of any government sponsored . The respondents preferred hotel for vacation. The average expense were during 10,001-20,000 baht and The reasons for choosing to travel in domestic is The travel expenses are not expensive. In terms of Motivation, respondents place agree on the Push factors. The highest average of sub-factors in each part such as Finding Yourself is For being free and decided to do something on my own . Local Experiences is Exploring nature. Adventure is To be the first person to travel to places that those around us have never been to. Building Relationships With New Experiences is Visiting in diverse landscapes. Avoidance is Reducing stress, Pressure, and Anxiety. Recharge Yourself is Bring balance back into your life. Improving Yourself is Building sentimental value to yourself. Believe and Faith is Create positive karma for life and blessings. The results showed that the overall average opinion toward Push factors was in agreement for all factors. The top three Push factors with the highest average ratings were Enhancing relationships through new experiences, Re-energizing oneself, and Personal development. The results showed that the overall average opinion toward Pull factors was in agreement for all factors. The top three Pull factors with the highest average ratings were Beauty and safety, followed by the Convenience of tourist attractions, and Popular trends, respectively. The results showed that the overall average opinion toward Concerns regarding the COVID-19 situation was in agreement for two factors such as Economic and Health. The average opinion on Social interaction was at a moderate level of agreement. When classified by gender it was found that there were differences in some sub-factors of the Push factors, such as the Escape. Pull factors related to Profound stories, and concerns about Social interaction in the COVID-19 situation. When classified by age it was found that there were differences in some sub-factors of the Push factors, such as Self-discovery and the Adventure, as well as the Pull factors related to Popular trends and Privacy, and concerns about Health in the COVID-19 situation. When classified by monthly income it was found that there were differences in some sub-factors of the Push factors, such as The local experiences and the Adventure, as well as the Pull factors related to Profound stories, SHA policies, The convenience of tourist attractions, Local food and activities, and concerns about Economic and Health aspects of the COVID-19 situation. |
