Abstract: This research of Concept of Walter Benjamin's Aura in Hayao Miyazaki’s Animations has two purposes 1) To study Walter Benjamin’s conception of aura, and 2) To analyze aura therein those animations directed by Miyazaki Hayao. This attempt is documentary research, by study from document with analyze the animations. The result of my study is that the term “aura” is applied in the explanation of the value in which the art informed, of which related to cult value, that is, the ground value of the creation of the art, and exhibition value, that is, the empirical representation of the work of art. According to Walter Benjamin, aura can be represented in the work of art when the cult value is the major concerned of its creation. My analysis of animations directed by Miyazaki Hayao results that all of them have unique value which coherent to the concept of aura coined by Benjamin. 12 of them in total represent the aura of imagination world, aura of the important of women, aura of the sky. 9 of which represent the aura of the purpose of the main character. 7 of which represent the aura of the believe in spiritual. And 5 of which represent aura of the important relation between human and nature.
