Abstract: This research aims to study the epistemological justification of Tarot reading. It is qualitative research that examines documents related to epistemological theories and Tarot card reading, as well as conducts in-depth interviews with 20 informants, divided into 10 Tarot card readers and 10 clients of reading, using in-depth interviews. The data collected was analyzed through the framework of epistemological justification. The researcher investigates the processes and principles behind Tarot reading, focusing on interpretations based on personal beliefs and experiences linked to epistemological justification and knowledge examination. In-depth interviews reveal diverse beliefs and perceptions about using Tarot not only as a divination tool but also as guidance for life. The study in ontology demonstrates the interaction between the Tarot reader, the client of the reading, the interpretation, and the Tarot as part of a communication process between the mind and spirit, holding the fundamental meanings of the Tarot as truths that can be modified by the reader's interpretations. The study finds that determining the truth of Tarot readings through the theory of truth provides different dimensions of truth. The theory of Correspondence defines truth from interpretations aligning with the client's real experiences, the theory of Coherence from consistency within the belief system of the client, and the theory of Pragmatism emphasizes outcomes and benefits from interpretations. The findings highlight the need to apply justification theories in developing a fundamental understanding of Tarot symbols and meanings according to Foundationalism and assessing the consistency of different beliefs of the client according to Coherentism, to enhance flexibility and the ability to refine interpretations, increasing the accuracy of predictions with both primary and clarify cards.
