Abstract: This research aimed to examine the inheritance of the sor performing art of Buason Thanomboon. It was achieved by collecting documentary evidence and utilizing interviews, observations, and inquiring with individuals affiliated with Buason Thanomboon. The paradigm of cultural inheritance provided a framework for analyzing the interaction between individuals, spatial dynamics, and temporal dimensions in inheriting and acquiring the artistic tradition of sor performance. The study found that Buason Thanomboon's sor performing art was passed down using the cultural inheritance paradigm. It included performance, sor verse composition, pedagogc, practices, discourse in educational institutions, and sharing penformance works across different media platforms. Buason Thanomboon acquired a profound understanding of the intricacies surrounding the practice of sor, a traditional performing art, at various stages throughout her life. From an initial phase, she assimilated knowledge and refined her abilities in the art of sor performance under her esteemed mentor, Mae Kru Khampan. Subsequently, she embarked upon a career in sor performing, dedicating her efforts to the artistry of sor performing across various media platforms and producing sor-related recordings. Afterward, Buason Thanomboon, in her pursuit of intellectual enrichment, suspended her sor performances to amass a comprehensive understanding of worldly and spiritual wisdom. She re-entered the sor profession at 45 and assumed novel position as a renowned "sor teacher-mother." The manifestation of Buason Thanomboon's sor performing art inheritance had beenobsenved acrass various roles, notably as a proficient sor performing adept in the art of sor performing. Her exceptional abilities and contributions to the field eventually led to her being bestowed esteemed titles of "Thal wisdom teacher" and "National Artist," solidifying her status with the as a sounce of inspiration for the upcoming generation. Subsequently, she assumed the esteemed role model position in executing a Lan Na sor performing art. It encompassed the art of sor verse composition and the meticulous execution of a Lan Na sor performance. Furthenmore, she actively contributed to transmitting and disseminating knowledge about the art of performing sor. It wwas achieved through various media platforms, such as "Pham Sor” or sor performance venues, where individuals would gather to witness her remarkable performances. These media space encompassed traditional analog mediums,including radio, television, reconded recordings, and contemporany digital platforms, wherein arrangements were distributed via online media channels. This research enhances knowledge regarding the value of Lan Na sor performing arts, presenting potential implications for the inheritance of other divisions within the Lan Na performing arts. This study endeavors to contribute towards the longterm presenation and sustainability of the Lan Na culture.
