Abstract: This study aims to 1) study the generality about personalities and levels of happiness at work of Information Professionals who work at Research University Libraries. 2) study the factors related to happiness at work of information professionals at Research University Libraries, for example personal factors, family factors and organization factors. This research is a Quantitative Research, and a research instrument was a questionnaire. The sample group focused on 262 information professionals, 213 questionnaires were collected (81.29% ). The statistics used for data analysis are Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Division (S.D.) and Correlation. The results found that the majority of respondents were female, amount of 191 respondents or 89.6% , 43 respondents or 20.20% aged between 55-60, graduated in Master degree, 130 respondents or 61% graduated Master degree, there also were 130 respondents or 61% work as librarian, most of them 158 respondents or 74.81% had personality type B. There were 105 respondents or 48.80% had very low level of happiness at work. The different personalities of the information professionals brought out the differences of levels of happiness at work and the significance level was 0.01. The factors related to happiness at work of information professionals were personal factors, family factors and organization factors. The findings on personal factors were that 97 respondents or 45.50 % had low level of happiness and they had personality type B. 28 respondents or 8.90% of information professionals had personality type A, and the level of happiness at work was medium. The different personalities of the information professionals brought out the differences of levels of happiness at work and the significance level was 0.01. The results on family factors included family relationships and family supports, they were found that the majority of the information professionals agreed on the family relationship as the most important factor, and the level of importance of each member in the family seeing each other as valuable, was the highest level (x̄=4.26). The relation between the family relationships and the happiness at work had the significance level at 0.01. It was also found that the levels of family relationships were positive level, low level and very low level or no relationship. Therefore, the majority of the information professionals agreed on the family supports, that support from family members toward current work was the most important (x̄=4.27). The relation between the family supports and the happiness at work had the significance level at 0.01. As well research found that the levels of family supports were positive level, and low level. Organization factors consisted of job characteristics, workplace relationship, and career advancement. The finding on work growth was found that the most of information professionals thought that the importance level of stable job was very high level (x̄=4.11), the relation between job characteristics and the happiness at work had the significance level at .05 and 0.01. The result on the workplace relationship was found that the disagreement between colleagues was very important, the importance level was very high level (x̄= 4.17) , the relation between workplace relationship and the happiness at work had the significance level at .05 and 0.01. Moreover, the information professionals thought that the importance level of work growth was very high level (x̄=3.90), the relation between career advancement and the happiness at work had the significance level at .05 and 0.01. The findings on relation between happiness at work and job characteristics, workplace relationship, and career advancement were positive level, low level and very low level. The research results describe that the Information Professionals who have different personality and different incomes, have the different level of happiness at work. The Information Professionals who have different levels of education and working status, they have the same level of happiness at work. Therefore, the family factors including with family relationships and family supports, and organization factors consist of job characteristics, workplace relationship, and career advancement affect the happiness to Information Professionals at work at Research University Libraries.
