Abstract: The objectives of this study were (1) to study the influence of ethical leadership on organizational commitment of operational employees in governmental and private sectors and (2) to study the serial mediating roles of work-life balance and workplace well-being on association between ethical leadership and organizational commitment of operational employees in governmental and private sectors. The correlational research design was used. The sample was comprised of 216 persons. The research instruments consisted of demographic information sheet, ethical leadership scale, organizational commitment scale, ethical leadership scale, work-life balance scale, and workplace well-being scale. Statistics used in data analysis were descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlational analysis, and serial mediation effect analysis. Results showed that: 1) Ethical leadership had a positive effect on organizational commitment (β = .27, p <.01). 2) Ethical leadership had a positive effect on work-life balance (β = .21, p <.01). 3) Work-life balance did not has a positive effect on organizational commitment (β = .09, p>.05). 4) Work-life balance did not mediate the effect of ethical leadership on organizational commitment (β =.02, p>.05). 5) Work-life balance had a positive effect on workplace well-being (β = .50, p <.01). 6) Ethical leadership had a positive effect on workplace well-being (β = .38,p <.01). 7 Workplace well-being had a positive effect on organizational commitment (β = .54, p <.01). 8) Workplace well-being mediated the effect of ethical leadership on organizational commitment (β =.21, p <.01). 9)Work-life balance and workplace well-being serially mediated the effect of ethical leadership on organizational commitment (β = .06, p <.01).
