Abstract: This study aimed to examine the feasibility of investing in garbage bag manufacturing machines of Plastic Dee Shop, Chiang Mai, and to analyze the worthiness of this investment. Data was collected from the survey results of 200 sets of questionnaires. Descriptive statistics: frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation were used to analyze the data; then, the information obtained was drawn to the marketing and feasibility studies, focusing on four components i.e. 1. marketing feasibility, 2. technical feasibility, 3. operational feasibility, and 4. financial feasibility. Given the results of the study on four feasibility components, the researcher could estimate the investment performance, balance sheet, statement of cash flow, and income statement, and be able to evaluate the profitability index, net present value: NPV, discount payback period: DPB, internal rate of return: IRR, and sensitivity analysis. Findings in the general information part revealed that most samples were females aged 25-35 years old and had an educational background in a bachelor's degree. They were business owners or middlemen and purchased the black garbage bags in packs at a frequency of once a month. In each purchase, they spent more than 10,000 Baht and purchased them from packaging shops or bakery equipment and supplies shops. In an overview, the opinions on the importance of the marketing mix affecting thedecision to purchase plastic garbage bags of these consumers were rated at a high level. The results of the study on the feasibility of investing in garbage bag manufacturing machines of Plastic Dee Shop, Chiang Mai suggested that the amount of early investment should be 2,500,000,000 (?) Baht. The investment period could be determined at 10 years with 15% of the required return rate per year. This investment could bring the net present value: NPV at 5,357,000,000.16 (?) Baht; the profitability index at 3.14 times; and the internal rate of return: IRR at 59.51%. The payback period of this project could be found at2 years 1 month and 28 days. In summary, the investment ingarbage bag manufacturing machines were feasible as the Plastic Dee Shop, Chiang Mai could earn an increase in profits and dividends every year. Based on the results of the feasibility study on relevant components, this investment should be accepted.
