Abstract: The purposes of this research were ( 1) to investigate the relationships among psychological capital, psychological empowerment and work engagement of office workers in a textile factory and (2) to examine the mediating role of psychological empowerment on the relationship between psychological capital and work engagement of office workers in a textile factory. A sample from purposive sampling method was 207 office workers in a textile factory. The research instruments consisted of psychological capital scale, psychological empowerment scale and work engagement scale. Reliability of the scales were between .72 - .93. Statistics used to analyze the data were Pearson's Product moment correlation and hierarchical regression analysis to test the hypotheses by using Process macro (model 4). The results revealed that psychological capital could predictive of work engagement and psychological empowerment at a statistically significant . 001 level. However, psychological empowerment could not significantly predictive of work engagement. In addition, psychological empowerment did not play a significant mediate role in the relationship between psychological capital and work engagement of office workers in a textile factory.
