Abstract: The purpose of this study was to analyze the utilization process, decision making, and the results in tacking poverty and reducing inequality from the Thai People Map and Analytics Platform (TPMAP). The TPMAP was deployed to reduce poverty on 5 demographic groups in the area of Mae Moh District, Lampang Province. The researcher used a qualitative research study and employed secondary data from relevant documents along with data from interviews with key informants, district administrators, and other officers. The study found that the TPMAP is a large government database that could be utilized in the classification of poverty and detailing target groups. The TPMAP cataloged poverty into 5 groups as follows: educational, healthcare, living, access of public service, and income. District executives and staff would be able to utilize information in the TPMAP in order to solve problems related to poverty with a framework that consists of 7 steps: 1) Defining the problem, 2) Identifying limiting factors, 3) Developing potential alternatives, 4) Analyzing the alternatives, 5) Selecting the best alternative, 6) Implementing the decision, and 7) Establishing a control and evaluation system. The results of the implementation can alleviate poverty and inequality in all households of the poverty target groups that appeared in the TPMAP. The study recommends that governments should provide a single platform (single window) and link the database to related institutions (big data). Budget should also be allocated in agenda groups in order to reduce duplication in data collection. Furthermore, use of data should also consider the authority of the local districts in solving problems, e.g. land rights. Flexibility in problem solving is key to forwarding long-term policies and to retain their tangibility. Keyword: Thai People Map and Analytics Platform/5 groups of Poverty
