Abstract: The purposes of this research were (1) to investigate the relationships among empowering leadership, well-being, and meaningful work of employees in financial and banking companies, and (2) to examine the mediating role of meaningful work in the relationship between empowering leadership and well-being of employees in financial and banking companies. The sample in the study was 324 employees working in financial and banking companies. The selection by convenience sampling. The research instrument consisted of (1) respondents' demographic data (2) the Well-Being Scale (3) the Empowering Leadership Scale, and (4) the Meaningful Work Scale. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and regression analysis applying for the Causal Steps of Baron and Kenny (1986) and the Sobel’s test was conducted to test a significance of indirect effect. The results of the study were as follows: 1. Empowering leadership could significantly predict well-being among employees in financial and banking companies (b = .440, p < .01, R2 = .253). . 2. Empowering Leadership could significantly predict meaningful work among employees in financial and banking companies (b = .443, p < .01, R2 = .332). 3. Meaningful work could significantly predict well-being among employees in financial and banking companies (b = .495, p < .01, R2 = .386). 4. The relationship between empowering leadership and well-being of employees in financial and banking companies was statistically partially mediated by meaningful work (p < .01) with indirect effect of .219.
