Abstract: The purposes of this study were (1) to examine the level of perceived organizational support, organizational – based self – esteem and in – role performance (2) to investigate the mediating role of organizational – based self – esteem in the relationships between perceived organizational support and in – role performance. The population was 136 employees of private school in Chiang Mai Province who have worked for at least 6 months. The scales used in this research were consisted of four questionnaires as follows: demographic information, perceived organizational support Scale, organizational – based self – esteem Scale and performance of personnel of a private school in Chiang Mai Province. The reliabilities of the scales (Cronbach’s alpha) were from .60 to .89. This research used multiple regression analysis and bootstrap method to test hypotheses in the Model 4 of PROCESS macro by Hayes (2018). The result showed that (1) perceived organizational support can predict in – role performance and organizational and (3) organizational – based self – esteem played as a mediating role of the relationship between perceived organizational support and in – role performance (β = .02, p <. 0.5).
