Abstract: The Objectives of this study are 1) to study work on the duty of governing officers for supporting the Special Economic Zone (SEZ), Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province; 2) to analyze the readiness of governing officers to work in the SEZ, Mae Sai District, Ching Rai Province; and 3) to study the problem of governing officers to work in the SEZ, Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province. This study uses a questionnaire and collects data from all 82 government officers of the Mae Sai district office. The researcher then tests the hypotheses by utilizing the Chi-Square test and Pearson's Correlation Coefficient. The findings show that the personal factors significantly correlate with the readiness of government officers to work for supporting the SEZ, Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province. The factors of age, level of education, working period in Mae Sai district office, skill of communicating the Chinese language, skill of using Microsoft office program, obtaining training about the SEZ, and knowledge about the SEZ are significant to the readiness. Moreover, the factors of supports from the Department of Provincial Administration following the Public Sector Management Quality Award to Government 4.0 (PMQA 4.0) including, leadership, strategic planning, focusing on service providers and stakeholders, measuring analyzing and knowledge management, human resources and focusing the operation system are significantly related to the readiness at a moderate level. According to the results, this study suggests that it remains imperative to enhance the crucial knowledge and skills in language and technology of the officers to raise the level of readiness to a higher efficiency level for supporting the SE2Z, Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province. In short, the District Chief Officer would be the leader to succeed in driving supports of the SEZ, Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province.
