Abstract: The early mobilization of critically ill patients is a physical activity that can be done within the first 48 hours of admission in the intensive care unit to prevent some complications; especially intensive care unit acquired weakness (ICUAW). The effectiveness and outcome of early mobilization depends on the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of nurses. This descriptive study aimed to explore the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of nurses regarding early mobilization of critically ill patients, and the relationship among receiving mobilization training for nurses, the working experiences of ICU nurses, and nurses’ practices regarding the early mobilization of critically ill patients. The samples were 125 registered nurses who had been working at the critical care or intensive care unit from both the medical department and surgical department of Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital and Lampang Hospital. The data were collected using a Demographic Data Form and the Patient Mobilization Attitudes and Beliefs Survey for the Intensive Care Unit (PMABS-ICU). The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, and the relationship between factors was analyzed using the Point Biserial Correlation Coefficient and the Spearman Correlation Coefficient.
