Abstract: This research present to Japanese Cucumber Grading Using Active Contour Model and Rule-based Approach. There are two main process along those are image processing to extract information from images and the process of cucumber grading. In the first process, image processing techniques are used to extract various observation from cucumbers such as color, size, and shape then I took all data to the second process for grade the cucumbers. In this research, I used 100 cucumbers for images data that is 1 cucumber per 4 images from a total of 400 images. The experimental result of this research showed that the accuracy was up to 90%.
