Abstract: This research is the experimental design of planning and façade to represent the local identities of Roi Et’s city hall, which has renovated into Chaturamuk building. The research objective is to design the appropriate planning to respond to the usages with local identity. The first part of the research proposed the methodology to arrange the areas that fit the building structure. From the analysis of the interviews, the questionnaire and the conceptual design became the area arrangement in the Modular system. The other part is to propose the façade design guidelines to represent the local identity. From the basic concepts of the human perception with the study of the history of the local area and the methods of transfer cultural content to architecture, leading to a three-dimensional model of the façade of Roi Et city hall, and test the recognition identity with samples of the Northern Council of Architects members and comment on the suitability of the model. The result of the area arrangement in the Modular system shows that it responds to government buildings management. Furthermore, the results of the identity recognition found the perception of the northeastern region. In terms of key messages from the sample group’s explanation, it was found that there are contents that support the suitability of the model, and there are different contents that must be considered in the next design.
