Abstract: This independent study aims at a system development that helps gathering hotel information on Agoda website and visualize the result of hotel distribution in the areas of Chiang Mai province. Since tourism industry in Chiang Mai has been expanding continuously and takes an important role in economic system of Thailand, the study applies Big Data technology, variety of data sources, that can be used for visualization purposes. Besides, the study can compare and show the changing rate of prices of the accommodation in each period of time in order to determine the demand of accommodation more precisely. To evaluate the efficiency of the developed system, ten experts in the analytical fields that actually the users of the system from Bank of Thailand, Northern Region Office, are invited to the evaluation processes. From the evaluation, the experts found that the developed system could help reduce the process of data collection compared to the traditional method, the Likert score for this result is 5 out of 5 scale. In addition, the collected data is very useful and can be used to visualize the accommodation locations and hotel distribution in Chiang Mai clearly, the score is also 5 out of 5. Therefore, this independent study can support users to analyze the economic overview in hotel industries effectively.
