Abstract: The purposes of this study were to (1) investigate how personal responsibility is related to individuals'academic performance; and (2) to examine whether individuals'academic stress and life satisfaction act as mediators between personal responsibility and academic performance. The research sample was comprised of 300 undergraduate university students of a public university in the north of Thailand. The main contribution of this study pertains to the results of the path model, which indicate that academic stress and life satisfaction not only have direct relationships to academic performance, but also they fully mediate the relationship between personal responsibility and academic performance. © 2014 Taylor & Francis Group.
