Abstract: The purposes of this study were to study food consumption behavior, nutritional status and health status of patients at Thai Traditional Medicine Clinic, Thoen Hospital in Lampang. The sample was 158 of clients whom selected by purposive sampling based on inclusion criteria. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire consisted of three parts including general information, weight and height for nutritional assessment, food consumption behavior and health status. It had been approved by ethics committee, Faculty of nursing, Chiang Mai University. The content validity approved by three experts. The data show that index of item objective congruence (IOC) was greater than 0.5 for all items. The reliability of questionnaire including food consumption behavior and health status was .80 by using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. Test – retest reliability of questionnaire regarding food consumption behavior was .92 by using Pearson's correlation. Data were analyzed by percentage, mean and standard deviation. The results of this study showed that: The overall food consumption behavior of the sample was at a good level. The sample had over nutritional status with 57%. The overall health status of the sample was at a good level. The result of this study could be used as a baseline data for promoting appropriate food consumption behavior, nutritional status and health status among clients.
