Abstract

Business matchmaking in trade fairs is a crucial activity that promotes commerce for entrepreneurs by providing a platform to present products, discuss, negotiate, and make business deals. However, due to the global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to an unusual situation worldwide and affected Thailand as well, the organization of such events was halted. This included the cancellation of gatherings and flights, leading to the suspension of related activities. This research, therefore, aims to develop a business matchmaking system using a multi-camera teleconferencing setup to enhance business negotiation opportunities by leveraging technology. This system simplifies the negotiation process, saves time, is convenient, reduces event costs, and allows data to be collected during negotiations for analysis and evaluation. This helps entrepreneurs make improvements and enhance the effectiveness of their products and services. The system was tested with a group of buyers and sellers, consisting of 15 buyers and 50 sellers from the Chiang Mai Chamber of Commerce. Data were collected using a satisfaction survey regarding the use of the business matchmaking system with the multi-camera teleconferencing setup. The case study of the Chiang Mai Chamber of Commerce showed an overall satisfaction score of 4.32, which is considered a high level of satisfaction. When analyzed by category, the highest average score was in the satisfaction with the user experience of the business matchmaking system using the multi-camera teleconferencing setup, with an average score of 4.32. This indicates that users were more satisfied with this system than with the traditional format, and it effectively resolved the challenges of organizing business negotiation events during unusual circumstances. The next highest score was 4.30 for the display's completeness in necessary details, followed by 4.20 for screen and sound quality. The results were compiled, showing that all functions performed very well. However, the study suggests that improvements should be made to the font size on the display screen, as the text was found to be relatively small and inconvenient for users.
