Abstract: This paper dynamically analyzes the relationships among the box office revenue of films, per capita GDP, number of cinema screen, ticket price, film genres(feature film, thriller, action film, romantic film, comedy film, science fiction film ), technical effects( 2D, 3D, IMAX ), film theater schedule ( New years period, Holiday period, International Labour Day period, National Day period ). This article will use the ARDL model to describe the impact between them. The study found that the number of cinema screen has a significant positive impact on the box office revenue of films in the long and short run. The ticket price and per capita GDP have only a short-run positive impact on the box office revenue of films; from the perspective of technical effects: 2D, 3D and IMAX have significant positive effects on the box office revenue of films in both short and long run; from the film genres: feature film, thriller, action film and romantic film have a short-run positive impact, while Comedy film and Science film have a short-run negative impact on the box office; from the film theater schedule: New years period, Holiday period and National Day period have a significant positive impact on the box office revenue of films in both the long and short run, while International Labor Day period has a negative impact on the box office in both the long and short run.
