Abstract: Hmong Hill tribe community traditional cultivation has practice monoculture for commercial farming. The impact of monoculture has been influencing deforestation. In recent years, Si Khiri Rak Hmong village has changed agricultural practice by converting to integrated farming. This has been supported by local organizations and result found in expansion. This research aimed to analyze factors affecting conversion from monocropping to environmentally friendly farming of Hmong farmers at Si Khiri Rak village. Data was collected by quantitative and qualitative methods. The sample size of 129 farmers, were 46 farmers converted and 83 farmers unconverted. Data analysis applied Logistic Regression Analysis for assess factors that affect the conversion farming. Moreover, descriptive analysis was applied such as percentage maximum minimum and standard deviation. Results showed that majority of the sample, farmers were women with an average age of 42.6 accounting for 51.2 %. Farmers 41.1 percent were uneducated. The average family members was 6 people. The farmers have an average agricultural expenditure of 45,165.58 baht/year. Farmers was borrowing money of 45.12 percent with an average amount of 26,779.06 baht/household/year. The average monocropping area of 32 rai/household all in the area of Khlong Wang Chao National Park. Data from logistic regression analysis found that there were 2 variables; household members and income from agriculture were important factors for improving livelihood assets. Meanwhile, smallholder farmers with lower income faces with various barriers for investment. This would suggested to related development organization to provide support for low income that my turn to adopt environment friendly farming. In the case of Sri Khiri Rak, the communities and government agencies have entered a "water exchange forest" agreement, the community agrees to return some of the monocropping areas to be a forest. In return, the government would support zoning clarify which areas was forest, planting, and living areas. The new alternative of agricultural practice of environmentally friendly such as integrated farming, provides higher returns than monocultures. Moreover, promotion of farmers collective action would also enhance agricultural production and natural resource management
