Abstract: Nowadays, plastic bottles as well-known as PET bottles had taken part in daily life which caused a tremendous amount of plastic bottles waste. Since the government gazette of the ministry of Public health to prohibit of utilize recycle plastics on dietary packaging, only virgin plastics has been allow for this reason. Thus, requirement of utilized virgin plastics has increase drastically. In 2020, Thailand post-consumption of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) bottles has been sent to landfill for 114,912 tons, inappropriate disposed 15,120 tons and recyclable 172,368 tons. However, those law on the prohibits of utilize recycled plastics in dietary packaging has just been unlock recently. In this study, the Material Flow Analysis (MFA) has been employed along with Material Circularity Indicator and carbon footprint of Polyethylene Terephthalate in 2020 It was determined that the Material Circularity Indicator was 0.55 and the annual greenhouse gas emissions to be 1,101,860 tCO2-eq/year. Scenario 6 was shown to be the best scenario when circular economy improvement criteria were established for each scenario but scenario 6 is the ideal case. Thus, the best practical scenario is Scenario 5 of improved collection to 85% use rPET in production and improve product to eco-design can increase MCI to 0.74 and emits 383,020 tCO2-eq/year of greenhouse gases, representing a 53% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.
