Abstract: Introduction: Breast cancer is the most common cancer in females. Radiation therapy is a very important role in breast cancer treatment. The development of radiotherapy technology is to improve treatment efficiency and reduce the risk of complications. Therefore, this study aims to determine the suitable breast treatment technique for Metropolitan Tha Chalom Hospital which limited resources for both staff and equipment. The advantage and limitations of each technique should be taken into account to guide doctors choose the most appropriate treatment for breast cancer patients. Method: This study is retrospective study. The Computed Tomography images of Fifteen patients who received left-sided postmastectomy radiation therapy (PMRT) were enrolled in this study. The patients characteristic were divided into two groups; 1. chest wall (CW) only irradiation and 2. Chest wall plus supraclavicular lymph nodes (SPC). All fifteen PMRT patients were generated in four treatment techniques including 3DCRT, Field in Field (FIF) , IMRT and Hybrid plans. The dosimetric and treatment time of each treatment technique were compared. Result: All four treatment plans were reached the acceptable criteria. The IMRT plans achieved the highest plan quality scores for two groups of breast patients. However, the irradiation requires longest time. Conclusion: The IMRT plan demonstrated the highest plan quality but required longest treatment time. The treatment times is essential in small facilities which limited equipment. Therefore, FiF plan to be the suitable technique for CW only irradiation and CW plus SPC irradiation with the high plan quality scores for OAR dose sparing and provided short treatment time.
