Abstract: The objectives of this article are to 1) study opinions on employment conditions, working conditions of contract workers in Lampang Province, 2) survey quality of working life and work commitments or organizational commitments, 3) to propose guidelines upgrading the quality of work life, employment conditions, working conditions according to the needs of contractors. The study is a qualitative research collecting data from temporary employees in Lampang Province, a group of the supervisors, a group of the executives in total 34 people. The results of the study found that the contractors were paid 9,000 baht per month and had no welfare, leave taking, and quality of work life did not meet most of the criteria such as advancement and job stability. There is no opportunity to acquire new knowledge, skills, promotion nor self-development, etc. Older contract workers are bound to the organization. The younger group is not loyal with the organization and ready to leave when the opportunity arises. Thus, there should be improvement the quality of work life by providing employment conditions with wages, compensation, welfare according to the employment standards prescribed by law. If possible, benefits should be provided equally for permanent employees
