การประยุกต์ใช้มาตรฐานทีโอดีสำหรับการเลือกตำแหน่งการพัฒนาพื้นที่รอบสถานีขนส่งสาธารณะ ในจังหวัดเชียงใหม่

Abstract

The Thai government is aiming for the development of each region's capital city together with economic growth by using Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) as policies to stimulate sustainable development by improving the connection between transit investment in public transport, public spaces, and urban development, especially the important northern province, Chiang Mai. This study implements the application of the TOD standard as an analytical tool and indicators (Metrics) for collecting physical data on the potential areas to be developed into TOD stations in Chiang Mai. Collecting data of all 16 stations from the Chiang Mai Red Line Mass Transit System Project. Data collecting covers a radius from the stations of 500 meters and 500 – 1000 meters. Based on the indicators' scoring criteria from TOD standard then ranked all stations in order. The results of the study showed that the station with the highest score was Rajabhat University Station. followed by Mae Hia Saman Samakkhi Station and Ban Mai Samakkhi Station. This shows that the three stations are more suitable for development than the others station. In addition, this standard suggests the feasibility, strengths, and weaknesses of these station locations. In conclusion, this TOD standard can be applied in the context of Thailand and used as one of the guidelines for policy decision-making for the construction project planning participant.
