dc.description.abstractA facile and green one-pot synthesis of 2,3-dihydroquinazolinones, using microwave irradiation, has been developed. Dihydroquinazolinones were synthesized from 2-aminobenzamide derivatives and various aldehydes in aqueous solution under base and catalyst free reaction conditions. The desired products, from aliphatic and aromatic aldehydes substrates, were obtained in 5 minutes with up to 99 % isolated yields.en_US
