A rapid development of modern industrial era, namely 'Industry 4.0' has accelerated the propagation of artificial intelligence (AI) applications to a manufacturing industry. Existing research indicated that advanced manufacturing technologies such as intelligent robotic systems, smart manufacturing systems, industrial automation, and intelligent monitoring systems have shown a great dependency on AI-based technology. As a result, an intelligent manufacturing environment is expanding from a shop floor level to a supply chain scale. However, most of the industrial AI applications based on existing literature are presented from a factory perspective. Thus, this research aims to explore the state-of-the-art of AI applications in manufacturing industry with a combination of supply chain perspective using bibliometric analysis. The results have demonstrated the associations between key supply chain activities, core technologies of Industry 4.0, and AI applications based on supply chain activities. This discovery should provide some development gaps of AI implementations in the level of manufacturing industrial supply chain.en_US
