Abstract: Based on morphological characteristics, Cyathocalyx tsukayae, which is endemic to Borneo is transferred to Monoon. The Bornean endemic Monoon sympetalum is the most morphologically similar species, mainly because of the basally connate petals it shares with M. tsukayae. The two species can be chiefly distinguished by differences in outer petal size, monocarp size and monocarp/stipe length ratio.
