Abstract: This paper presents to evaluate the artificial ballast for detector the ballast behaviors based on wireless technology. The most importance ballast behaviors are stress and displacement in ballast layer. In the past, Many researchers tried to analyze the ballast behaviors with numerical theory. This analysis gave the correct result in calculation but were not the real field data agent due to some factor was not excluded in numerical equation. Next, Many researchers developed and took many equipment to measure the real field behaviors. However, this testing method was a limitation due to the equipment had been installed by wire signal that made it difficult to installed and gave the wrong result because it was hold with the line signal. So, the equipment that ballast layer were needed is data transmission ability with wireless technology for installing in ballast layer during construction. The equipment would use microcontroller (Wemos D1 mini) to process and send data via wireless signal. The stress was detected by the Flex Sensor (RP-S40-ST) and displacement was measured by the Gyro Sensor GY-521 (MPU6050). The last, the equipment has to be down sizing with using PCB (Print Circuit Board) to reduce the impact of sizing to displacement behavior. The most importance of this equipment invent was calibration which had 3 section for testing. 1. The testing for stress calibration with using Flex Sensor 2. The testing for angle calibration 3. The testing for displacement calibration with acceleration comparison. In conclusion, this paper will give you the artificial ballast that can measure the ballast behaviors based on wireless technology which send the test information and show on google platform.
