Abstract: This research aims to analyze the composition and indicators of the life and work skills of junior high school students. And to study factors and create predictive equations that affect life skills and work of lower secondary school students. The sample group used in the research was students who were studying in lower secondary school level of schools under the office of basic education service area ministry of education, northern region, academic year 2018, of 400 people, by multistage random sampling, divided by the size of small, medium, large school until the required number. The tools used were the life and work skills test of lower secondary school students and the factors that affected the life skills, life skills and work of the students. Is students have 38 questions with classification power. (r) Between .528 and .647 the reliability values of .924 and .872, respectively, were analyzed using basic statistical analysis. Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) for Objective 1, and Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis for Objective 2. Results of the study showed that 1. Life and work skills of lower secondary school students consist of 3 components, 20 indicators, including interpersonal and work components consisting of 8 indicators with the weight of elements between .503 and .745 elements In terms of personal ability, there are 5 indicators which have an element weight between .578 and .758 and the ability to think consists of 6 indicators which have an element weight between .514 and .682 which both 3 components together explain the life and work skills indicators of junior high school students at 44.60% 2. Variable factors affecting the life and work skills of lower secondary school students each has a positive relationship with life skills. With statistical significance at the level of .01 with achievement motivation the most correlated with life skills which is equal to. 720, followed by attitude towards learning, teacher quality, work ability and adaptation. Media influence family duties, raising family relationships self-confidence classroom environment with the correlation coefficient equal to .631 .603 .573 .525 .493 .468 .442 .426 and .366 respectively, and the internal correlation coefficient between factor variables w .282 and. The 668 highest internal correlation coefficient is the relationship between parenting variables and family relationships. In which the researchers used to create the situation forecasting factors affecting life and work skills of lower secondary school students In raw scores as follows Y = .908 + .130XA2 + .158XA4 + .161XC1 + .136XB2 + .152XC3 And the prediction equation for life and work skills of lower secondary school students. In the form of a standard score as follows Z = .243ZA2 + .204ZA4 + .227ZC1 + .212ZB2 + .196ZC3
