Abstract: © 2020 IEEE. In terms of Theory of Receptive and Productive Vocabulary, This research endeavors to investigate the Chinese productive vocabulary to improve communication effectiveness in educational service sector under cross-cultural communication context. The research followed the method of Knowledge Management concept. Through knowledge audit, knowledge acquisition, and knowledge analysis and utilization, the productive vocabulary based on problem-solving in educational service was collected. It proves that users' productive vocabulary has close relation with understanding and effective communication, and its size is much less than overall vocabulary. The research offers evidence of productive vocabulary collection and significance of the productive vocabulary leaning. Suggestions for further research implications are given based on the findings of the research.
