Abstract: This research aims to study into influence of new media and technology on way of life in changing in Urban Society by focusing on specification of a period of time, especially that which appears on media and technologies. The study was conducted through tracing the past, a questionnaire distributed to 400 respondents and an interview with 3 business operators. According to the findings, media and technologies do affect the ways of life, in particular a pattern of behavior related to decision making, for example, selection of restaurants and styles. Online media are the most highly used, and both the sample group and the business operators have increasingly employed them to assist in their decision making, commenting on what they prefer to be presented on these media: the name of their restaurant and a promotional campaign period. A specified period for having meal also results in behavioral change. They see that such a period affects other activities, which together consume less amount of time for use of restaurant service. However, the target group views that time limitation has an impact on them. The phenomenon occurring here represents influence of media and technologies, with time specification, which causes changes in daily ways of life.
