Abstract: The purposes of this study were to improve the effectiveness of the production process of unskinned dried logan in two processes at Chiang Mai Fresh Production, Co., Ltd by using the main approach. The pattern of movement and time in every process was recorded according to Process Chart and Flow Diagram. The data were analyzed based on the concept on the balance of the production line. The finding revealed that the improvement of the production process was ineffective because of the unnecessary movement during the production process. However, this problem could be resolved and become more convenient during the production process by using the concept of ECRS which was based on the theory of the balance of the production line. It was also suggested to use the E-Eliminate principle which included; Step 10) Bring longan into the Big Bag, Step 11) Transfer the Big Bag to the Silo, Step 12) Waiting up Silo, and Step 13) Bring up the Big Bag to Silo. Moreover, the result before and after the improvement of the producing longan 42,000 kilogram. per the production round in a day found that; In term of the distance, before and after improving, the total distance of producing was 36,994 meters. After the improvement, the distance was 26,626 meters. So, this showed a decrease for 28 percent. In addition in terms of time, it took 5,151 minutes. After the improvement, it took 4,433 minutes. So time was reduced by 26.64 percent. In term of machinery and cost, before the improvement, the company used 12 forklifts. After implementation, they used 9 forklifts. So they could reduce the cost of LPG fuel by 63,540 baht per one cycle of production. (LPG was used for 1 tank for a forklifts and the price for each tank was 353 baht at the date of surveying.) In term of labor, before the improvement, there were 58 workers. After implementation, there were 50 workers. So, the company could reduce the wage cost by 148,800 baht per one cycle of the production. (The wage was 310 baht per person per 8 hours.)
