dc.description.abstractAn efficient approach for the multicomponent synthesis of 12-aryl-8, 9, 10, 12-tetrahydrobenzo[a]xanthen-11-ones catalyzed by CuO-CeO2 nanocomposite under solvent-free conditions is reported. The catalyst was prepared by co-precipitation method and characterized by XRD, BET specific surface area, FESEM and EDS analysis. This procedure provides many advantages such as simple work-up, clean procedure, short reaction time and high yields of the products.en_US
