This paper presents the analysis of arrester energy discharge of Current Limiting Arcing Horn (CLAH). The analysis of arrester energy discharge are performed using ATPDraw on 22 kV single circuit overhead distribution lines. To analyzed the arrester energy discharge, the model of V-I characteristics of CLAH has been proposed. The arrester energy discharge has been analyzed both for stroke to phase conductor (shielding failure) and stroke to pole.en_US
