Abstract: This research of the factors affecting moral support in task performance of sub-district volunteer soil technicians in Chiang Mai Province aims to (1) to study the performance of morale of sub-districtvolunteer soil technicians in Chiang Mai Province (2) to study the factors that affect morale of sub-districtvolunteer soil technicians in Chiang Mai province to improve motivation. (3)to study supporting from various sectors to promote the morale of sub-districtvolunteer soil technicians in community. The population in this study is135 sub-districtvolunteer soil technicians in Chiang Mai province. Data was analyzed by using percentage, mean, standard deviation, maximum and minimum. The hypothesis was tested by analyzing relationship between several independent variables and dependent variable with multiple regression analysis. The socioeconomic study found that most farmers were male within the age-range of 51 to 60 years, and had finished education at the primary level.Most of the farmers were married and worked as sub-district volunteer livestock. They had 1-10 rai of farm area. Most of them were merchant and had income between 30,000 - 50,000 baht from farming and less than 20,000 baht from non-agricultural job. Farmers who were in debt took on loan from Bank of Agriculture. They had work experience of sub-district volunteer soil technicians more than 11-15 years. Sub-districtvolunteer soil technicians expressed their opinion on moral support in task performance of sub-districtvolunteer soil technicians in Chiang Mai province at high level. From this study, factors affecting moral support in task performance were divided into 2 main points: supporting factor and motivating factor. For supporting factor, there were 2 issues that sub-districtvolunteer soil technicians were strongly agree; command and relationships with colleagues. For motivating factor, there were 3 issues that sub-districtvolunteer soil technicians were strongly agree;success in work, to be respected and work in progress. The job satisfactions of sub-district volunteer soil technicians were high. They needed more operation support from agencies. According to factors affecting moral support in task performance of sub-district soil technician volunteers in Chiang Mai provinceregarding to all 11 factors, the statistically significance was found in 4 factors. In terms of relationship between colleagues, life progression, and work satisfaction were significantly at 0.01 level while work achievement was significantlyat 0.05 level. Suggestions to increase moral support or satisfaction in task performance of sub-district soil technician volunteerswereproviding of monthly compensation, study tour or excursionsand attend Vetiver planting project to resale to the Soil Development Office for more income.
