Abstract: The objectives of the study were to study socio – economic factors effecting farmer’s adoption of peanut production in Lampang province and to study the problem and recommendation concerning about farmer’s adoption of peanutproduction in Lampang province. The sample composed of 154 peanut farmers who used to getting this technology from Agricultural information department in Lampang province. Data was collected by the use of questionnaires. Statistical techniques used were percentage, average, minimum and maximum, standard deviation and chi – square From research finding, it was found that 59.7 percent of these farmers were males, age average 53 years, grade 4 educations, having these experiences 2 – 6 years, themselves fund and they was 3 family labor to product peanut. Anyway, 29.2 percent of daily labor was hired during invest time. For the area of peanut production was everage 2 rais and during 2010-2011 be, peanut production was average 301-400 kg/rai or in term of price was 4,001-6,000 thai bahts This can be calculated at 11 thai bahts for the fresh peanut retail price. During 2011-2012 be, peanut production was average 301-400 kg/rai or in term of price was 4,001-6,000 Thai bahts and It can be calculated at 12 thai bahts for the fresh peanut retail price .for Their income from peanut production was average 20,001-25,000 thai bahts yearly while the other income was average 23,253 thai bahts yearly. For the source of farmer’s knowledges to product peanut was from the agricultural officers during 1 month a time. The other source of this knowledges were from publication, semina and taking part of the agricultural co-operation. The high level concerning about farmer understand of peanut production technology. From the study results of attitudes toward peanut production technology was found that they all accepted this technology as can be divide into 4 issuses; there were 1) racing was divided into plot cultivation and furrowing cultivation every time 2) putting 2-3 seeds per hole 3) seed selection before planting and 4) gypsum was used in the first bloom time. Education, family number and attitudes correlated with this adoption at significant oil and 0.5 respectively. And farmer’s problem was high cost, the plow tillage expensive, weeds in tillage, not understand the nutrition and the elimination of aspids, sub – terranean ant and mice.
